Overview
Chandrashila peak (4,130m) is situated in the Garhwal Himalayan range, Chamoli District, Uttarakhand. Chopta Chandrashila trek is an easy gradient trail which starts from vilage Chopta (3,000m) takes you to Tungnath temple and further to the Chandrashila summit (4,130m). The trek trail is rich in flora & fauna, lakes and meadows full of fresh snow in winter. The scenic beauty of Chandrashila is unbelievably beautiful. The grassy slopes when covered with snow make an ideal ski course and provide lot of fun & adventure.
Chandrashila trek is one of the best weekend Himalayan treks which starts from village Chopta, takes you to Tungnath temple and further to the Chandrashila peak (4,130 m) which gives breathtaking panoramic views of the mighty Himalayan peaks. On Day 3, we cover the magnificent trail from village Sari to Deoria Tal. From village Sari, Deoria Tal trek is roughly 3 km one way to one of the most picturesque campsites in Uttarakhand giving the front row view of the mighty Chaukhamba peak.

Tour Itinerary
Depart from Delhi to Rishikesh by 10.30 pm. Overnight journey.
We will start early today after breakfast. Listen to music, play antakshari, chit-chat with your fellow passengers or explore & photograph the scenic vistas from the window to spend 7 to 8 hours in the vehicle As it is a long drive to reach Duggalbitta, which are small beautiful meadows where we will check in to the beautiful Campsite. The day is kept at your leisure, with options of spending the day resting, clicking photographs, going for short walks around the meadows or interacting with the locals and fellow travelers.
Rise-up to today’s mountain morning, this is going to be a tough day, we have a lot to look forward to! Today we begin our trek full of tales and extended walk to a steep gradient. During this 6 km long trek, you shall get to experience the land of legends. At 3,680 m we will be at Tungnath, one of the Panch Kedars, Tungnath is the highest Shiv Temple in the world. This gives you another reason why you should not miss on to this one !
Just trek for few more kms and we shall reach the highest destination of our trek, Chandrashila Peak. From here we get a 180 degree view of higher Himalayan peaks such as - Nanda Devi, Bandarpunch, Chaukhamba, and Kedar Peak.
Later, we will start our descend back to Chopta . Dinner and overnight stay at Chopta.
Early morning after breakfast we will move towards village Sari and then trek to Deoria Tal, it's just of 2 km and then we will proceed our journey to Rishikesh & further to Delhi.

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
